Education and exploration is at the heart and soul of who Sphero is, so we are thrilled to announce our donation to to kick off the New Year.

With the support of key donors: Anchor Point Foundation, Silicon Valley Bank, Foundry Group Needham & Company, Flex Logistics and Nasco – we’re donating more than $110,000 to, a non-profit helping teachers crowdfund necessary tools and essential tech to help their students succeed in the classroom. This donation will help to serve the mission of empowering public school teachers to bring essential learning tools and experiences in high-need classrooms.

With the donation, Sphero will match qualifying Sphero products and activities classroom requests. Currently, has more than 200+ projects requesting Sphero products, a testament to need of STEAM learning tools across the nation. Students will be able to, some for the first time, experience Sphero’s vision of incorporating robotics and technology with fun through Sphero Mini, Sphero BOLT, Sphero Specdrums and other Sphero favorites.

Nasco, one of our donors who supplies STEAM education products in schools, will fulfill the teacher project above to Mrs S’s classroom in Winston Salem, NC.
